Staff Selection Commission or simply SSC is an Indian organization to hire workers for a mixture of posts in a variety of Ministries and Departments of the Government of India & in Subordinate Offices. This organization conducting examinations and/or interviews to make recruitment to Group “B” and Group “C” posts for the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India.

To conduct examinations and/or interviews to make recruitment to Group “B” and Group “C” posts for the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India. There are seven Regional Offices at Allahabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, Bangalore and two Sub-Regional Offices at Raipur and Chandigarh & has its Headquarter at New Delhi.

This post is also known as Data entry Operator (DEO). Every year lot of candidates applying for this post and get hired in government organization. Before written test it is essential to know the paper pattern and syllabus. So here I will brief you paper pattern and syllabus.

There are two phase in which first phase has written test and in second phase it contain skill test. In Skill test candidates have to type words in pre defined time duration.

Skill Test

This session is very much compulsory to all qualified candidates in written test. Candidates have to type 8000 key depression per hour on computer. Time allotted to each Candidate a 15 minutes and matter is given in English containing about 2000-2200 strokes/ key depression. This speed is calculated in speed of key depressions per hour will be regarded as being on basis of the correct entry of words.

This two following test is conducting for recruitment of Data entry Operator (DEO) posts. Paper II Syllabus:

English questions are basically based on error recognition, filling in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), Vocabulary,Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, comprehension etc.
